Quilt Creations - Gallery One until the 20th July
Historically, the term Quilt was used to refer to a variety of covers made for the bedroom, but increasingly quilts have been used in many varied ways. Quilt Creations is an eye-catching exhibition of quilts and wall hangings by the Ruskin Quilters and Needlework Group. The intricacies of the designs show the time and patience of the group and their interpretive skills.
Homage to Lowry - The Godfrey Pilkington Gallery - until the 20th July
A thematic exhibition of selected works from regional artists whose own artwork places and uses LS Lowry and the many themes of his work in their own art practice. The exhibition allows Lowry's work to be seen in new contexts, which aim to increase understanding and appreciation of his, and contemporary artists work.
