Four stars for Kaleidoscope Cafe |
The Kaleidoscope Cafe at The World of Glass in St Helens has won a four-star rating for its food hygiene standards.
The award was made by Scores on the Doors, the national information service that lets the public check food preparation standards at restaurants, clubs, pubs and take-aways.
Chef Manager Anne Jamieson said: "Our restaurant is already very popular with visitors and local people for the quality of its food, most of which is homemade and locally sourced.
"Now we are delighted to gain this certificate that recognises the strict hygiene standards to which we operate."
"This is a real team effort and our staff have a reputation for being friendly and helpful as well as highly conscientious about standards."
The certificate, issued locally by St Helens Council, takes into account factors such as cleanliness, food safety and management.
The Kaleidoscope Cafe is open to everyone, not only visitors to The World of Glass, from Tuesday to Sunday, offering a wide range of food and drink throughout the day. The cafe is also a popular venue for corporate events.
"We attract a lot of people who just fancy a coffee with friends or decide to pop in for lunch while out shopping, " adds Anne. "We like to please everybody and make a big effort to cater for customers particular needs."
