Visit The World of Glass for a good read is not the sort of thing you would expect at a glass museum but you would be wrong. Here at The World of Glass we are showcasing last years winners of the "Best of Fest 2009" Poetry Competition.
Ranging in subject matter the poems on show make up 18 of the best from last years competition some are happy, some are sad and some well just make you sit up and think.
Last years poems are on display until late march when we will change them over for the "Best of Fest 2010" then we will showcase a selection which were sure will be equally diverse.
If your interested in poetry and would like to enter well you still have time ....
This is all you have to do to enter:-
1. Create three poems, typed, each no longer than 40 lines, and on any subject.
2. There are no official entry forms, and your name and contact details should not appear on the poem, but on a separate piece of paper.
3. Entries cannot be returned, so please do not send your only copy.
4. ENTRY IS FREE .. just send your work to Chris Ridgeon, Room J225, SKB Building, St Helens College, Water Street, St Helens, Merseyside WA10 1PP, by Friday 12th March 2010.
THE WINNERS WILL BE INVITED TO READ THEIR WORK AT THIS YEAR'S POETRY FEST (RECENTLY SHORTLISTED FOR A CULTURAL AWARD) AND THEIR WORK WILL BE DISPLAYED AT THE WORLD OF GLASS THE WALL OF WORDS
