Pupils will be encouraged to handle glass artefacts, both old and new and
lead a discussion about the scientific properties of glass and its impact on our

in the Victorian Cone Building, the session uses artefacts and photos, to examine
the glass has been made up until the Victorian era. Pupils will also learn about
the lives of the Victorian Glass workers and can explore the tunnels beneath the

of topics within this subject: Daily Life, Religion and The Afterlife. All three
sessions look at how we understand the Ancient Egyptians drawing evidence from

Roman Britain Key Stages 1 and 2 History A.T. 1-4Focusing
on the Roman occupation of Britain, the session looks at the Roman way of life
and discusses the impact on Celtic Britain. Looking at the remnants the Romans
have left behind, the session will discuss the impact of the Romans on modern

Victorians Key Stage 1 and 2 History A.T. 1-4, Geography A.T. 1-3The session
focuses on life in Victorian Britain and looks at the changes in Education, Industry,
Working Life and Leisure. The session also looks at the changes that occurred
in St Helens in the Victorian era and compares the town to events nation wide.

Painting Key Stage 1 and 2 Art and design A.T. 1-4Bring along a glass
jar or bottle and recycle it by using special glass paints to them into a work
of art for the home. The session discusses the techniques of decorating glass
before letting the pupils imagination loose! Back

and taking inspiration from mosaics created through the ages, pupils can create
their own colourful mosaic designs that can be put on display back at school.
